Healthcare Software Engineer — Backend & Telehealth Systems

CoorsTek Medical

When I joined CoorsTek Medical, I shifted my focus fully into backend engineering for healthcare and telehealth systems. I've spent these years building the backend foundations behind patient portals, video consultations, scheduling workflows, and secure messaging features. Along the way, I became deeply involved in designing HIPAA-ready API architecture, protecting PHI data, and integrating with EHR systems using standards like FHIR and HL7.

As the company moved toward more modern automation, I began bringing AI-driven workflows into our internal systems. I built practical automation pipelines using n8n, Make, and Zapier connecting clinical data, streamlining admin tasks, and reducing manual work across teams. This mix of backend engineering and real-world automation gave me hands-on experience with AI tools, LLM integrations, and workflow orchestration that makes our clinical processes faster and more reliable.

This role is where my interest in telehealth, automation, and secure healthcare software really came together. It has shaped the developer I am today someone who enjoys building stable APIs, solving workflow problems with automation, and creating digital tools that actually help people on the clinical side.

Software Engineer (Intern → Junior → Mid-Level Developer)

IronEdge Group

I began my career at a large tech company, starting as an intern who was eager to write meaningful code. Over the next five years, I grew from a junior developer into a mid-level engineer, taking on increasingly complex responsibilities. I worked across multiple products, building backend features with Python and JavaScript, integrating APIs, improving authentication systems, and learning how to ship reliable software in a fast-moving environment. This is where I learned the foundations of clean architecture, cloud platforms, and scalable backend development. My time here shaped me into the engineer I am today and prepared me for my transition into the healthcare technology field.
